Clothing: About one-quarter of the Senufo people wear mud cloth, which is locally-made. They decorate and dye the cloth with materials that are natural. They blend these natural materials into colors that represent the lanscape of the Senufo. These mud cloths were first worn by hunters who liked the natural camouflaging look. The reason the Senufo people like wearing the mud cloth is that they do not show dirt. Babies are usually wrapped to their mothers' backs using mud cloths.
